3. Jason presented information about Optum Community Center
Free for 55+, affiliated with United Healthcare
4. Approval of June, moved to postpone to October
5. Guest – DuRon Netsell of Street Smarts Design + Build discussed traffic calming
· 4 way stops: most effective, cheapest, most difficult to permit,
people may not stop but most people slow down
· Curb extensions: bring stop sign out into driver's line of vision,
shorten distance for pedestrians
· Curb stops: can go down quickly and adjust to test best options,
allows for permanent improvements after testing

Property owner threatened to sue Southmoreland neighborhood association

· Dedicated Lane for Streetcar – Kevin Klinkenberg met with Tom & city staff
